#1 interview – NGOs and landmines

Stuart Hughes – BBC World Affairs Producer: Journalist, landmine survivor, amputee

Stuart became very involved in the issue of landmines when he lost his leg in 2003, after straying into a landmine field whilst reporting in Iraq.

Stuart now works with MAG (Mine Advisory Group) – an NGO whose aims are to save and improve lives by reducing the devastating effects armed violence and remnants of conflict have on people around the world.
