NAME: ANN FROSCHAUER
JOB TITLE: National White-Nose Syndrome Communications Leader U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
Having read the BBC article on White Nose Syndrome killing 5.7million bats across America and Canada, I was lead straight to a link for the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and so I aimed for the top and asked for a phone interview.
NAME: ANDREW PYE
JOB TITLE: Biosciences Lecturer, Exeter University
I found out quite early on in my decision process for interviewees, that a friend on the course had done some research on White Nose Sydrome in her undergrad degree at Exeter; she therefore gave me the contact details of the leader of that research project. It is always quite a challenge to find someone that is willing to be interviewed, let alone be filmed and interviewed, so finding a lecturer who has a level of expertise in the required area is brilliant. I do however, feel slightly that a lecturer is too easy, so I will still be looking for other professionals to interview face-to-face.
